My Dad

I took this pic of Dad, and my grandson Piper. My Dad is in the hospital right now. He was scheduled for some major back surgery yesterday, September 8th. We all went to my sister, Wendys on Sunday and Judy and I got up and had Dad at the hospital at the appointed hour yesterday am. He was readied for surgery and given the annesthesia. The surgeon rolled him onto his stomach to begin the surgery. Then heart machine started blipping irregularly. Dad was rolled over onto his back with the hope that the blipping would correct itself but that did not happen so they aborted the surgery.
Dad is now in Coronary Surveillance where the Dip Tetro Nuclear tests will be conducted to see if his heart will stand the surgery. These Dip Tetro tests use the isotropes that were in demand last winter when that Nuclear station was shut down in Ontario. We are grateful for the wisdom of the surgeons yesterday, although it was a disappointment for Dad as he was looking forward to relief from pain once this surgical procedure was done and the healing complete.
I have just spoken with the Nurse in Coronary Surveillance and she says we should have the results back by 4 PM on Friday. For now Dad is in the right place in good hands. We have started looking at alternatives to this invasive surgery....there is a laser spine clinic in Florida and also a new one in Pheonix. Perhaps that is a better answer....I am going back on line to do further checking.
We should have the results
