BRRRRR it's frigid out there!!

I just can't stop myself from letting those I know and love in warmer climates that it is digustingly cold here. The wind chill if frightening!! I had to untangle the cords tonite...they just got into a pile out there in front of the house and so I untangled them. The cords are so cold you think they will snap in half. I thought my face was frozen when I came in. I might have to shopping for a ski doo suit...this weather is not supposed to moderate for another week or so. The forecast for overnite is just brutal...winds of up 70 kmph and more snow. Dad is supposed to go home to Weyburn tomorrow. We will just have to wait and see if it is blowing and what the visibility will be like. All for now....I know I sound awfully crabby...it is winter here and I know what winter can be...as long as it is gone by the time I go to the lake...wearing a parka to the beach doesn't interest me...makes for a poor tan line!!!!

Hi Kathy

Oh! poor you in such cold!!
I am thinking poor me in this heat, as I write its 5.45pm Friday, temperature 37C. Tomorrow is going to be 40C HELP!!

We are half a world apart, but doing the same things for different reasons (very different). We only venture outside when we absolutely have too.

Pleased to hear you're feeling OK even if your diet leaves alot to be desired. Still you can have a 2 course meal 'Mashed Potato and Jello', what more could you want???

Tell me what are 'the cords'?

I'd better go and try and think of something for dinner UGH! Love eating not cooking.

'Warm' Regards Ozzie Joan ((*_*))

Hi Kathy
Friday 9th 5.30pm
So sorry to hear you've had a bad week.
As you say it always seems to happen to the good people.
We have sadness in our family at the moment. One Joe's older sisters, Maria, came out of a very bad marriage a couple of years ago. About 9 months ago she met 'someone' Brian and she has been so happy and we've been happy for her. To see her smile and laugh was wonderful.
5 weeks ago Brian was diagnosed with a brain tumor, inoperable. So now its just a matter of time (months)
The awful thing about all this is there is nothing we can do to help her and Brian, apart from listen and support and you want to do so much more. You must feel the same.
Believe when I say I understand how you feel, as a family we've been through alot of trauma over the past 2 years. I will explain when I talk to you. The things that helped us were, just people giving us a call and saying 'how are you doing?' and listening when you told them.
I don't know if I will be here at your time Friday night - we are hoping to see Maria and Brian sometime over the weekend, just for a coffee. Maria is going to ring when she feels Brian is up to it.
I will be thinking of you.
Chin Up Kathy!

Your Friend Joan XX
