We did goof around a bit...tried to get the hummingbird feeder up...tried to get the water going...tried to get the hammock working properly...did I say tried to get the water going...there was a problem with the pump at the bottom of our hill and sad to say the problem lasted most of the summer. We finally hooked up to Sharon's tank right next door...then our water heater quit!! We are heading out to the lake tomorrow for September long and hope to do a bathroom reno!! Did I mention our mouse problem...which has lasted all summer as well...these are no ordinary mice....they can retrieve the cheese with peanut butter off the trap without setting it off!! We have tried everything...bounce sheets, mothballs, and Mitzy, our neighbor cat who had a couple of sleepovers...Alas the mice prevail. In Mitzy's favor she catch some...we don't know exactly how many. We saw her with 2!!

Okay, I guess I'm not the only one with problems! Have you ever fought a raccoon?
Yes, in fact the racoons got into the attic of my old cottage...they make an awful mess and they can chew a hole in the side of your house! They are difficult to get rid of!! and I am no help. Even Dad has no real suggestions except to kill them which is not the best solution.
