At the lake last weekend Piper and his friend Adam caught a couple of frogs. They nursed these frogs along all day in a yogurt container. When it was time to come home...I discovered the yogurt container under the seat in my truck. So Kerri had a chat with Piper about how frogs live at the lake and not in a house in town!! Piper was crying and all upset (shades of yesteryear for me...Kerri also loved to catch frogs and bring them home!). Anyway she convinced Piper to let the frogs go. So Piper did let the frogs go...we thought. We left the lake and stopped at A & W in Carlyle for a bite to eat and a drink. Both boys fell asleep so when we got home we carried them in to bed. Next morning bright and early Piper called me and asked me to come over for a visit!! I said sure and over I went. Piper came running and hugged me and then said he thought he would just sit in my truck for a while. I still didn't get it!! I went in to have coffee with Kerri. In about 5 minutes Piper and Adam came in and went downstairs. Then they came up for water. By now Kerri has caught on.....and you guessed it..... another discussion about where frogs live. Granny saved the day...by suggesting perhaps we could take the frogs down to the river and let them go. Off piper and I went on a little adventure. Piper was concerned that Hoppy would have any family here!!!

Oh boy, what can I say? Piper sounds like a sweet little boy. You're a good grandma. He'll remember this all his life!
