Angels

was a very busy one...company, bad weather, baking, cooking..the excitement, Dad not feeling well...etc. Sadly I didn't complete everything on time but noone knows that but me. This past week on Wednesday...I went to Regina along with my sisters ....and we were in the Eye of the Storm and lucky to have made it all in one piece. Visibility was NIL!! Friday, January 2nd we had another incredible storm....visibility in town was NIL! The driveway was packed full of snow so I got up the next morning to shovel. My cell phone rang at about 8 am. I thought ...WHAT NOW! It was my friend and he said ...Move your truck ...I am out in front with the Bobcat and will blow your driveway out....Then he said....call your sisters and tell them to move their vehicles and tell Kerri too! An angel had just arrived!! That is the 2nd time on a -45 morning he has come to town to blow people out!! Who does that?????

Last nite I was busy trying to clean up the contractors mess down in the basement and moving some furniture around. I went upstairs to get a drink about 10 pm and there was water all across the kitchen floor. Dad was sleeping in the chair....so I just shut off the water to the kitchen sink. This morning I turned it on so I could determine what was wrong. I needed some parts for the hot water tap. So I hit the remote on my truck....GUESS WHAT! it was dead as a door nail. What to do! Before I had a chance to do anything....my friend was at the door for another reason....and just my lucky day....he had some plumbing stuff in his truck and went to work to fix the plumbing. Right after that he got my truck going. Another angel episode!! People say they come in all shapes and sizes...and I am a believer!!

I am going to get a gift certificate for a restaurant and give it to him so he can take his wife out to dinner on me.

Soon I will post pics of the finished product in the basement. I am still moving things around and don't have my mirror or stained glass up yet...so will wait til that is done. This is really where I could use an angel...I really struggled to move my closet and computer work station alone but I did it. I am never moving either one again. I decided to chop them up for firewood before I do that again!! My new years resolution is to never buy anything I can't carry by myself!!
